EASA are looking at re writing up the JAR/FCL rules and want comments before they start to re write the rules.

Now we all know how heavy handed the European Bureaucracy on recreational flying has been so have your say now before they come up with something new with even more restrictions.

For more details visit the EASA website here and click on consultation document

Remember, this is your one chance to be heard!

I sent of an e-mail. Basical saying the rules should be based more on the UK NPPL with medicals done / sign of by your local doctor.
UK IMC a european wide license.
Changes to bi-annual checks and currency that seem to currently defie logic. ie 12 hours in the 2nd of the 2 years. Seems more logical to have 6 hours per year. 3 landing every 90 days should allow for a safety pilot. Just because you missed getting the stamp on your log book for bi- annual should mean having to do a skills test again.

There,s probably a lot more out there....
