Hi Chaps.

Did some flying in my youth with CCF including Venture Gliders at Halton.

Considering now that time allows possibility of getting PPL and my own plane to use in local area (Guernsey) and maybe a hop to Jersey/Alderney/France.

What is the cheapest realistic option?

All advice gratefuly received.

Well I share a Luscombe. 2 seats, similar interior space to a Cessna 152. Get a reasonable one for 14-16k. You'll need a transponder and it's tailwheel and VFR only but they're cheap to run. Make sure you get an engineer who knows them to inspect before buying.

A resident in Alderney operated a Luscome from there until recently.
