O.K I realise that this might not be anything to do with professional aviation and the answer seems very straight forward but....

In the local flying club yeterday, a friend of mines went flying, after he had landed he came into the club room and said
"has anyone every seen the carbon monoxide detector go the funny colour that it shouldnt"

It started going that colour half way through the flight he said and they didnt pass out

Thats my question what do you do? I know the obvious answer is land at the nearest airport and get it checked out but if it didnt harm my friends and others went flying after him and there were no accident reports what do you do?

So would you go flying if the Carbon Monoxide Detector was the colour it shouldnt be??

Cheers anyway

What would you do with a fire warning?

The results of CO can be just as bad.

You just pass out and then RIP. And it doesn't hurt a bit.

I would not fly that plane again until it is fixed, and I've seen it fixed. Look up some www refs on carbon monoxide poisoning.

1. Open the windows.
2. Close the heater vent.
3. Land.
4. Write it up in the Journey Log so the plane is grounded 'til it's checked.
