Was at MME on 29/3 when a flyglobespan 737 landed. It taxied to the ramp but was stationed in a remote area of the airfield, with its nav lights remaining on and flaps in takeoff position.

Nobody approached the a/c (no refuel, engineers, airstairs) and it remained there for approx 15 mins before taxiing out and taking off.

I know MME can be used as a training base for some airlines but this didn't look anything like that (normally you just see touch and go's). It was hard to see but I don't think any passengers were onboard.

Anyone have any ideas what it may have been doing there? Any news of inflight problems on that day?

Thanks.

Training Flight.
GSM were operating training flights up and down the country throughout March.
Today GSM operated their first revenue flights under their own AOC to ALC & AGP from GLA.

On that day we were sat at MME waiting for our onward flight plan to turn. We were supposed to go back to GLA, but were planned to go to LPL
