I got my JAR PPL about 2 months ago and i'm waiting to start my hourbuilding course in July but i need to do a couple of flights in order to stay current (night flights also). Would anyone be willing to rent their aircraft to me for a few hours and would you check me out if i was to pay you. I dont want to join a club here because it just costs too much and i would only be joining in order to do a couple of hours. Can anyone help me out please?? Thanks.

Paddy,

Why don't you try Skytrace at Weston. They don't have any membership fees and once you're checked out you can rent for an hour / two now and again as you require.

The guys there are really good - I use it to hire an aircraft from time to time when I go back to Dublin without the Aztec! It also has the benefit that you don't have to wait months for the (typical) Irish club attitude of form filling and waiting for someone to be available to check you out.
