Urgent question to any North Atlantic (NATS) Air Traffic Controllers.
Sorry about the urgency of this request, but I only have today to receive any input from you controllers. I am currently attending the National Business Aircraft Association (NBAA) International Operators Conference in Anaheim, California. Today, when the conference schedule was issued there was addition to subjects.
The addition is ‘North Atlantic SATCOM ATC Test Program’. This test program is to allow voluntary participant aircraft to make position reports via SATCOM. The aircraft that will partake in this program will be business jet aircraft only, no air carriers.
Therefore my question to the ATCOs is, what do think of this program and what information have you received on this test program?
Possibly more important is, would any ATCOs like to forward any questions I could ask tomorrow. I will be able to reply this time tomorrow.
