Does the Airbus 340 use the same special headset plug that the A310, A320, and A330 use? For those aircraft it is an AXR-5-12 plug that is a single, round plug with multiple pins inside. I would especially love to hear from anyone that has used their own headset on the 310,320, or 330 and is now using it on the 340. I am trying to find out specifically about the 200/300 and 600 series 340's. Thanks....

I fly the 319/320, and it has the regular two plug system.

Our A340 (300), have indeed one that look like a DIN audio.
AXR-5-12?? If you say so. There is maybe a standard two plug just besides, I'll check tomorrow

There are two plugs available on A340 pilot stations.

One is the round one with caters for combined headset/mike and although I could not check it (where did I put the old one I had ??), the other is the classical round for headset but no mike.

Now, looking at the plug it must be possible to build an adaptor between both design.

Does one of you know if impedance of both type of plug are the same??
If they match, it's just a case to to buy the plugs and a bit of soldering with good quality shield wire.
