Hey there 777,

Before the thread was removed, I realised the folly in my ways. 4-3-3- was the voice of reason!

Sorry dude! ;)

(Yes, yes. I know I'm being petty. Or what was that lovely description used? T*sser? Arrogant? *shrug*)

I thought you'd done a Lennox Lewis and decided to retire whilst you were still heavyweight champ of the forum ;)

That was the best thread I'd read in ages! Quite amusing reading posts from bitter and twisted 'unsuccessful' candidates who know-it-all!
What am I gonna do with my evenings now..................?:ugh:

Not to mention the 'in the door 5 minutes' patronising ATCOs :p ;) :D :E

The thread will return once the playground stuff has been analysed and acted upon by our latest candidates on our Moderator training course. And you thought training ATCOs was hard work !!!! :}

More like the maturity of 5 year olds..............hang on, that was direct at me wasn't it?

(Who called me slow on the uptake?)

There are no shrinking violets in ATC .... either in the job, or hoping to be in the job ;)

Neither is 100% right or wrong in their views, but it wasn't adding much to the thread.

Maybe we need to run Significant Potential assessments for all ATC PPRuNers to see who will go far in the career :E

On second thoughts ... I might fail :)

Yeah........but it was getting entertaining though. ;)

Jerrico - it was getting fun, maybe we should start a BBOT campaign - Bring back our thread!!!
Maybe we shouldn't have hijacked it in the first place!:O

Feedback from HR - left me a bit more confused, upset and cheesed off. Apparently, everything was great, apart from my employment record (too much management - obviously would have been better off on the dole or working the tills in tesco). The other issue is their own fault. If they are worried about people being trained up and leaving for new pastures - then why the heck don't they have the students bonded to NATS like the RAF do? I'd have sold my granny to go to Hurn. Lucky for her, that can't happen now. Unluckily for me, the impression I gave the ATCO wasn't what HE wanted and I somehow doubt that my CV or application forms were referred to.

NATS loss may well be someone else's gain.....

**** from great height comes to mind.

Bollock$

Mr Weselfluren

During the technival interview, the ATCO does not see your cv or your application form. He/she is given a brief summary of you that you wrote yourself on your testing day. This is so that there are no pre-concieved ideas or opinions. The ATCO is told if this is your first / second / third apllication so that we mix up our questions a bit. Crafty eh?

Mr. Bobblehat,

My point entirely - the perceptions made about me on the day would have been proved wrong (and perceptions they were) if they had checked my details....

Glad to see that Mr. Jerricho (all so polite and formal!) has passed on the good news about the HR guru helping nats out. Hope she wasn't too interested in any management/moving on after 25 years in the job....

Glad to see the original posting is back up, may the ranting/sledging continue there!:) :E

In the meantime, I'm off to check out Airservices Australia. The mortgage wouldn't be quite so much over there, plus the sunshine and slightly better beaches will help get over the dissapointment of NATS. Their loss, all for good reasons.....

WF (still  about it all though)

(H added, in interest of politeness....)

WF, polite and formal?

There's an 'h' in Jerricho as well.

Just read through the thread again, post-edit, and it doesnt really make any sense any more!! Also I was disappointed to see my thread was edited, as I dont believe I said anything too much outta line......I've sure said worse without retribution.

Maybe the technique used to train moderators should be reviewed.....maybe have three coaches, eliminate the single point of view. I bet whoever moderated that thread failed his mod checkout in Europe somewhere..........:p :p :E

"Voice of reason........" :O well theres a first!! Normally Im the first to lose their head while all about are keeping theirs!! Cheers Jerricho, you cheered me up there!! :ok:
