There is currently nothing in LASORS to cover the case of a pilot who has passed his/her ATPL exams and who wishes to obtain a UK IMC rating.
The CAA have now confirmed that a pilot will be credited the IMC rating theroretical examinations for a period of 3 years after passing the last ATPL exam.
Hence all that such a pilot will be required to do is to complete the required flight training and pass the IMC rating Skill Test.
