As of 27th November, bmi has applied for new route licences, they are as follows:

London-St Petersburg

London-Tel Aviv

London-Larnaca

Manchester-Minneapolis

Manchester-Detroit

London-Detroit

London-Minneapolis

Minneapolis ???? Never figured that as a major route - I would of thought they woulg go for MAN-JFK first - TLV makes sense though although I ll still fly with OS via VIE

bmi, applies for quite a few routes, but takes them forever to start them if ever.

Back in 1988, they applied to operate 11 European destinations from LHR. All were granted but approx. 6 were ever started, and most have been dropped.
They were even granted LHR-SVO over Virgin. bmi still have not started the route.

So don`t get too excited guys, I spend 11 years waiting for half the things to happen which they announced.
