Yes in a way we are happy since we had nothing close to Athens for GA. Ikaros airfield though is just over an hour's drive from North suburbs. This means that if you drive from Southern part of Athens it could go near to two hours drive :yuk:

Right now the only option for GA "close to" Athens is Tanagra AFB LGTG in same Direction with Ikaros but a bit closer to the city. It has all the pro's & con's of stationing and operating a GA aircraft at a busy (on weekdays) Air Force Base.
