Does anybody have any further details on the 2 KLM B777 machines stranded this past week in CPT and YYZ respectively?
First introductory flight was to YYZ on Nov 05th. They now have 3 in their fleet.

And there was quite a bit of people vainting on the new KL 777's because of poor air circulation...

Just saw the 3 ol' 747-300's parked near the A4 highway.

Interesting viewpoint. As someone who is neither Dutch nor English but who works in both countries comparing Schipol with Heathrow and the rail services in both countries, I would have rather thought that it was the other way round!

As someone who IS English I'm afraid I have to agree with Rongotai on this one!

As someone who's English but lived in NL for 5 years, believe me, buzz boy's got a point. "It's not possible" is from page 1 of 'Customer Service for Nederlanders'. Yes, public transport works well and Schiphol's a superb airport. However the Dutchies, much as I love 'em, still have a long way to go.

Anyways, back to the thread. I've nothing useful to offer on the 777s, though I recall something about air circ problems on early builds. Anyone savvy?

lomapaseo 'cuse my spelling, it should read fainting.

Problems seemed to be caused by too much air re-circulation (fuel saving?) and too high cabin temperature.

buzz boy having travelled through Heathrow many times, I have to disagree with you. BA at the other gives excellent service.

Not too convinced at the efficiency of the Dutch railways. their habit of running trains in both directions from the same platform can be very confusing - the consequence being that I ended up in Utrect rather than back at Schiphol a couple of weeks ago. Nothing to do with the 8 pints of Dommelsch I'd just consumed of course! :O

Now what does all this have to do with the 777?
Must be too Dutch :)
Flt ctrl indication prob.
Messed up schedules etc.
No strange reports on YYZ though.
