Synergies between ATC and AO

can someone please identify and explain the synergies between:

Air Traffic Services and Airport Operations

i need to know briefly about past, present and future synergies

and i need a real example


by synergies i mean the ways in which the two work together!

By "Airport Operations" do you mean the outfit that runs the airport?

My dictionary defines "synergy" as: "the interaction or cooperation of two or more drugs, agents" so I'm dead curious to know how this can involve ATC?

Actually, I think synergy is being used here in the systems behaviour sense where the emergent properties of the combination of several subsystems show an identifiably unique set of qualities.
