Hello All,
Just looking at the departure information for EGTG on the AIS site textual data for the field, updated 27th Nov to comply with new airways, but it still says BCN and AMMAN FL100 and EXMOR FL90....with EGFF's airspace surely it should be BCN FL150 AMMAN FL140 and EXMOR FL150? Thats what I hear on my scanner anyway!

EGGD REQ:
Heard AMMAN departures via L9 to join AMMAN climbing FL160 yesterday, is this a permanent new level?

Thx.
Dan.

Standard levels are Exmor 150, Amman 140 and Radno 140 - we try not to join at BCN if we can help it as both GD and FF are joining there.

Latest MoU between Swanwick and the South West units gives Amman 160, but after consultation with FF we're staying down at 140 due to conflicts with their inbounds and Cardiff give the further climb.

Hope this explains

Ok thanks for that info. Um...so this F160 for AMMAN is only temporary then? If so how long will it be in use for? Or will the clearances continue to say "climbing FL160"? I ask because Im a Virtual EGGD ATCO on the VATSIM network.
Thanks!
Dan.

FL 160 is the inbound level via TALGA so it is unsafe against a FL 160 climb outbound, hence the restriction that AMMAN traffic climb to FL 140 initially then further climb with Cardiff Radar to FL160
Nothing temporary about it , just a safety requirement.

Nasib,
it was excellent you should have joined us.
Even better we whipped Air Wales, thrashed them mightily at Ten Pin Bowling ;)

Rightey ho....AMMAN Clearance has returned to FL140 again. But why were Bristol saying "Climbing FL160" in the clearance?
