Yes, yes......here I am.

Congratulations to England on their first World Cup in sport since 1966. The better team won on the day. Well done.

And if we don't win the Rugby League tonight for a clean sweep, I'm gonna call in sick for work on Wednesday.

I feel sorry for Bill though, he is being taken to England. Awful. He was just getting a tan. He'll be back though, mark my words.

At least we can throw straight in the line-out.... and hold onto the ball when we're scoring a try...

I'll show you a topic change B-L. How's that tour of Sri Lanka going?

Quokka - our line out was pathetic. Lets all stand there and watch the ball go over our heads. Oh, look a guy in a white shirt has picked it up.

Rex - give us a call you lazy b@stard

And just bring on that West Drayton Mafia! I'll sic my cat on them.

Ok, ok, so we stuffed it... big time... with Matt's help. He gave away possession so many times that he might as well have just walked up to Johnny and handed him the ball. "Here Johnny, why stuff around, you're going to kick the ball eventually... game, what game... I'm just here to look good and pick up chicks... even though I can't play Rugby for my life... Wallabies? nah, I couldn't care a less..."

Don't knock the Cockney criminals, after all isn't that how it all started down under. With the aid of course of some nice naughty northerners,oh and few of the untrustworthy types from the rest of the U.K.

I'm sure if you checked the lists for "transportees", there would be some shady characters from Stockport amongst them!

"You two been fighting again about ever making the 1st division.....right.....you're nicked. Get you @sses on that boat!"

(P.S. Did I see somewhere Stockport played Bournemouth over the weekend? Where's that curly haired one?)

tobzalp

But was the transportation really a punishment? Homey don't think so. See page 1 last post.

/me kicks back

HAMMY
24th Nov 2003, 22:13
to me it would be a punishment.I love the rain and cold. Before you ask yes I've been to Oz and it wasn't like your pictures all the time.
But my dreary world is brightened up every week by the 'wonderful' Jerricho,a fine example of an Aussie who has realised that the grass is greener not here or there but on a different side of the world.(the first Aussie I know that didn't work in a bar over here)
Thats another thing why if its so good do you all end up working in the bars of London, surely there are plenty of bars down under in which to ply your trade.

Hi Jerricho, I never realised you were an Aussie!

I'll take a wild guess... was that you who I heard on the radio, directing Air Force One last week at Heathrow? It didn't sound like that pilot had been to Heathrow before! hehe..

Cheers,
Ben (another Aussie in London)

Jerricho
24th Nov 2003, 23:12
Hey Ben, how's it going? You getting as much stick as I am over this little game of Rugby? As much as the cries of "You can't let a convict talk to AF1" were many, you heard right. Poor guy didn't even get at chance to check in, did he?

And Hammy, I'm flattered by your kind words. Just remember to keep it that way tomorrow morning. Cause I know the rest of them will be having a dig or 20! And I think the reason truck loads of us come over for a bit is to really see if the weather is as bad as they say! Bit warmer than the Peg though, don't you think

Jerricho

I'll say my bit now......to give others more time tomorrow!!

Now what was it you taunted me with before the final??? Oh yeah I remember:

"We won't give many penalties away"

"We are too disciplined in defence"

"Wilko won't get the opportunity to kick"

Slice of (humble) pie sir ??:p :p :p :p :p :p :p

All hail the conquering World Champs :D :D :D

Barra Tuesday

Hey Jerricho,
From another Aussie living on this side of the world; I sympathise with you but at least you didn't have to watch the final with a kiwi who; despite assurances of parochial cheering for Oz; took great delight in pointing out the deficiencies in the Oz game as it progressed. Oh well the bottle of Bundy (Ahhhhh Bundy) that we consumed went down well and all I can say is "BRING ON FRANCE 2007" and for that matter the one day world cup in the West Indies in 2007. Will be a big year with the Barra Family already making plans to go to both - want to join us!!!!!!!!!!:ok:

Jerricho
26th Nov 2003, 23:48
Hey Barra,

Of course you pointed out to said Kiwi that has his team didn't make the final, thus rendering his opinion null and void! And I think I'll definately take up the offer on the Cricket World Cup. I'll be needing to thaw myself out.

Anybody hear the little rumour of a certain QANTAS flight that was assigned a code of 2017, and was asked to confirm it on every frequency change in UK airspace?

Gonzo
27th Nov 2003, 17:15
No rumour, we tied it all up hours in advance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately when he was reading back the clearance there was infuriating interference on frequency, so we had to get him to repeat the clearance quite a few times until we were completely satisfied...........
