Fantastic - good to see a PPROOOONER on telly, eh Mr Dolan! Good to see you haven't stopped asking long boring questions to crews.... zzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!

Seriously fella - nice one. I did notice that they had that babe from the BBC (Caroline something?) doing a report on the balcony in the lunchtime news - but she was bannished to the grandstand for the main event when they heard that Dolan was being interviewed (Fergus Walsh was very touchy-feely matey!!)

Shamon M-F!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:)

Ohhhhh, I know I'm not worthy! Not even close.

I was thinking more of the "Heathrow Director" vintage.....

A certain Male ATCO who appeared on TV this afternoon would appear to have got himself a fan club.
I have had txts and phone calls from single ladies asking if I know him, and saying wasn't he lovely :p

Nice one gentlemen, a nice send off.

"Heathrow Radio"! Was the FE havin' a laugh or was that the CAA callsign designation for the telly R/T interchange? Was almost expecting "Heathrow Radio, Golf Alpha Fox is an Conc inbound from Kennedy, 15 miles south of Ockham in Surrey, request joining information, 100 POB".

So who was Fin Director this afternoon? The Beeb (unsurprisingly) seemed to focus on the tower.

MC.

PS I'm guessing the EDI landing was a tribute to Skippy :) .

That's OK B.L., I'm used to you taunts by now. Now, back in your box, the adults are talking! ;)

But, I was being a little serious. It did kinda suck that these guys (our balloonist in particular) once again were left out in the cold (or not in the cold on the balcony or the BA after party!)

And of course we couldn't see anything because the windows misted up!!!!!!!!!!

(Wonders, where does he get those fantasic pictures)

Conference Room 2, level 6. Having seen the email about it, I was under the impression it was an LL ATCO past and present thing only.

Not a bad spead though. And good to see no crap Aussie red wine there (we'll ignore the chardy!). And Gonze hit the nail.....bloody windows all fogged up. I'm sure I heard somebody say "management hot air".....but that's not nice.

Yes indeed, I noticed that she was there ... Catherine Marston I think her name is, and she is one hell of a babe!

Excuse the late reply....but I must say, I was a bit disappointed with what the BBC Showed of the tower, I was hoping they would be in the visual control room filiming it, and enabling everyone to listen into the atc as it landed! Shame!
