I just wonder how many pilots were aware of the closure of most of the airspace in France to VFR below 4000ft AMSL during the last week???
More consultation with Notams might be an idea!!!!!
PS It finishes on 22nd October

More consultation with Notams might be an idea!!!!!You rather seem to be assuming that you're the only person to have noticed this. One or two of the rest of us here have more-or-less got the hang of NOTAMs by now.
By the way, all the details of the Opera 3 exercise have been here (http://www.sia.aviation-civile.gouv.fr/dossier/supaipmetro/SUP_2003_84_EN.pdf) for some time.

I mangaed to fly throughout France VFR below 4000' with very little hassle. Opera radar were extremely helpful, and provided an excellent service. Close reading of the AIP Sup shows that all the fuss and bother this side of the channel was OTT.
