Hey guys!

My attention was brought to this pic the other day.

http://www.airliners.net/open.file/425035/L/

Both aircraft were in flight. Concorde doing 1350mph or whatever it is.

Basically, what i want to now is about the shock wave. Do you guys feel it, do you have to avoid it or something?

Just a question,

Look forward to your replies.

Had Concorde pass directly over me earlier this year - me at 37'000, she at 55'000 and we clearly heard the sonic boom. Actually it came as a double bang-bang but without any disturbance to the flight path. Fantastic!!

You don't just hear the boom - you feel it through the airframe.

Makes the Loadmaster wince if you are carrying special cargos and he doesn't know that the boom is coming!

David Hempleman-Adams becomes the first person to cross the Atlantic in an open wicker basket hot air balloon.
(http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/wiltshire/3150204.stm)He was hit by two sonic booms from a Concorde flying 30,000 feet above him, causing his balloon to drop several thousand feet as he set the record by crossing the south-west tip of Ireland at 0830 BST.
