What would you do????

If when cruising at F450, in a private jet, and the owner, also a pilot, who is not occupying a crew seat and is a pax on this leg, comes up the front and wants to use the PIC's EROS oxy mask.

When told by the PIC, NO, that would not be available and that supplementary oxy was on board down the back of the aircraft.

Again, this person asked and again was told very sternly NO.
This person then reached around behind the PIC, withdrew the EROS mask and started to breathe the oxy.

A couple of things spring to mind;
a) TUC at 45,000ft,
b) Interfering with aircraft equipment,
c) Disobeying a PIC's order.

What would you do (in this hypothetical case)????

Look for a new job.

As a helo driver I'm not into flying that high, but assuming that it is a mandatory requirement to have that mask available to the pilot, you find yourself no longer able to meet the requirements and therefore you'd need to descend below 10,000 feet. This will probably make the execution of the flight as planned impossible, but it's your license on the line, not just your job.

And after landing, go find a new job..If the individual owning the thing is as irresponsible as described, what other corners will he cut that affect your safety?

What's he want it for anyway?

Print off the article that doctor wrote on Avweb about the Payne Stewart accident and how quickly you die at that altitude without o2.

S76 has a point. If he'll do that, he's going to ask you to do something else where getting your license pulled will be the least of your worries.

...and tell him you want a good written reference else you'll report it.

in fact, go ahead and file a NASA report.
