Rumoured to be $100 millon (£60m) anyway things can move on if true!

bmi goldenboy 16th June 2009 22:04

Why even bother putting this idiotic rotation on.......? :}

From Monday 29 June GLA/MAN is down from morning and evening flights to one rotation (and yes, the timings are just great for FlyBe):

BD399 dep. MAN 10h20 arr. GLA 11h20
BD398 dep. GLA 11h50 arr. MAN 12h50

:ugh:

Good news about the deal completion. Anything official heard yet? Maybe we can finally get some ideas of what zee future holds...

Those who have some time available and who would be interested in stretching their brains a bit once or twice a week could consider a Beginner's German course evening course near their home. A vocabulary of a few hundred words in a foreign language combined with a little imagination in the method of communication allows one to express a remarkably large number of thoughts and ideas to others.

While German is not as easy to learn as Spanish, it's not as hard as people sometimes think.

johnnychips 16th June 2009 23:57

Although German takes a long time to learn to speak with technical fluency (there are about 7 words for 'the'), native Germans always appreciate any attempt to try and speak their language, and it's not too difficult to get by.

Evening classes in this job, you must be joking!!! I'd miss more than I attended.

D and F - I'm sure LH would try to be accommodating to those BD staff who express a desire to learn some German. Asking won't kill you !

BFSKLBD 17th June 2009 13:15

Bmi Charters

RYAND36

02 A321's, 02 A320's based at various points round the UK
Some use of A319's aswell
And if things go pear-shaped like last year, EMB145's and A330's

Flying to most of the usual holiday spots in Spain, Greece, Turkey and Italy

Don't know for the rest of the country but out of BFS they are mainly flying for Thomas Cook.

ryand36 17th June 2009 14:09

Thank you so much for that info BFSKLBD. It really helps. Do they really use ERJ145's to Spain??? Interesting flight that would be lol.

I wonder why BMI doesn't sell some of the seats themselves? Might be able to make a bit of extra cash maybe.....

sam1993 17th June 2009 14:18

BMI have an Airbus A320 based at Manchester all week operating flights to Greece and Turkey for Olympic Holidays and Custom Flights.
Glasgow sees an A320 based until mid July when it moves to Newcastle, again operating for Olympic.
An Airbus A321 is based at Belfast until mid July, it is then based at East Mildands from mid July onwards operating flights around Europe for Thomas Cook.
An A321 is also based at Manchester from mid July operating flights for Teleticket Travel. It operates most of these flights on W services with Gatwick.

Hope this helps! :ok:

An Airbus A321 is based at Belfast until mid July.
What routes does it fly, the only BD flights I have saw are to Verona on Saturday, I would be interested to know if its all week. I flew on a BD A319 BFS to Verona arriving back Sat 6th June. Also departing at almost the same time from Verona was a BD A320/319 to Dublin, couldn't identify exactly as other aircraft blocked the view

sam1993 17th June 2009 14:51

I guess that beats trying to find an empty field in France and waiting for a Lysander to pick you up!
