Murky and grey comes to mind. Some of the projects, like resurfacing the runway, would be funded by the airport operator while the forecourt at Parkway by the airport owner. Who knows who is paying for this apron but all the work is done by one company every time, even the new taxi rank was done by them.

The inbound to SEN was virtually a positioning flight and Blue Air put those seats on sale only on the day of the flight I'm told - selling 17 seats. The outbound to OTP carried 155 pax.

Begs the question if the Blue Air departure was a replacement for a Heathrow flight what happened to the Heathrow inbound?

The OTP-LHR-OTP flights seem to have operated as normal on 2nd August, there seeming to be just the one daily flight on that route.

I'm sure the flight on 2/8 was helping out LTN whereas the first one at SEN on 28/7 was helping out LHR. Both times where requests to move AM slots to PM were refused.

FlyOne seem to be having a terrible time, today's flight canx again. If they do run it is hours late.
Vultures circling for those slots no doubt.

Must be difficult though, operating in close proximity to a war zone.

Air Moldova & Wizz Air don't seem to have similar issues.

As I reported a few weeks ago, the Dart is going to be run by a new company called DartCo, which will be owned by LRT that in turn is owned by the Council. It is reported in the Luton News that this is being done to reduce any potential risk and financial exposure.

Seems LRT aka Luton Council have no faith that the Dart can be run at a profit when it has amassed close to £300m of debt and is independently valued at only £75m. Adding to the pain is the realisation that it will cost millions to operate each year after LRT signed a contract with LLAOL to operate it. I can guarantee it will be eventually sold off at a massive loss to the towns council taxpayers, as it will be claimed it is not part of the core business. It is all a sad state of affairs but not surprising as the Council has refused to publish the business case. The suspicion is that there isn’t one.

Does that make sense? Recuce risk and financial exposure to whom ? Is the council the creditor for the 300M ?

Yes, the Council is the only lender to LRT and the future DartCo. A separate company will have separate accounts so painting a better picture for LRT. Also it will make the process of off loading the company easier later on, as it will have a separate and independent management team from the start of the new company.

Also never believe what the Council and LRT claim. They are the masters of half truths and deception.
