Probably a corrrect guess. Interesting as teams visiting Chelsea normally go to Gatwick or Farnborough. Also I notice it parked at main terminal rather than use an FBO.

LTNman 21st Oct 2021 14:19

The planning application decision to expand the airport by an additional million passengers and to break binding noise limit that was due to be approved by the airport owners has been put back to December 1st as the Highways Agency has put in a holding comment to stop the application going through any earlier.

Makes sense, thanks guys. Trying to remember where the SunClass 321 parked during Euros, maybe just too large for S80/81?

Buster the Bear 22nd Oct 2021 18:59

The DART airport station looks the size of a small terminal building!

LTNman 22nd Oct 2021 20:32

The frontage at Parkway looks as wide as the frontage of the terminal. The strange thing is with a Dart departing every few minutes I doubt there will ever be more than 40 people in the building for most of the time. With all that space it will be a shock when passengers are shoehorned into a 19m passenger Luton terminal.

Parking Biz on Taxiway F now, best get that new 6 pack laid!

LTNman 23rd Oct 2021 17:33

They are also meant to be the de-icer stands. Can’t be both but I don’t think de-icing was carried out there last year.

crunchynutter 24th Oct 2021 12:09

If the airport want to use Foxtrot for de-icing then the 4 easy's (or at least 1) will have to be moved first.

SkyUp were going to fly from Luton to Kyiv beginning late June 2021, but dropped their plans at the start of June 2021.
Looks like they are going fly after all, but this time from late March 2022

EZY already x6 on TLV and go to x7 in December, LY ramp up their schedules in December as well.

Of note in December 0B are back on Bucharest OTP to complement their LHR schedules.

Buster the Bear 3rd Nov 2021 22:56

From my own interaction at a professional level with SkyUp, a well run airline with highly skilled people who know their market.

LGS6753 4th Nov 2021 10:03

Two new destinations started yesterday, Plovdiv (WUK) and Hurghada.(EZY). I don't think either has been served from LTN before.

pabely 4th Nov 2021 12:59

Egypt with the SSH schedule as well giving TUI flexibility without having to send one their own 737s.

Spanish eyes 4th Nov 2021 15:26

Does Wizz know we have left the EU with its new route to Plovdiv or is the intention to dilute other routes?

BA318 4th Nov 2021 16:18

Plenty of Bulgarians still live in UK and have families etc and travel back home or their family visit the UK.

LGS6753 4th Nov 2021 16:42

Plovdiv is a ski resort too.

Lee Baker Street 7th Nov 2021 20:42

The stupidity of passengers.

On a flight from Glasgow to LTN (EZY 62) yesterday morning, from my window seat I watched Breechwood Green passing by on my right when a fellow passenger decided he had to go to the toilet. Two cabin crew based at the cabin rear were screaming at him to return to his seat. He refused and shortly after a scuffle took place in the galley area. With around 20 seconds spare, the landing was aborted and a go-around initiated. Subsequently during the climb out another passenger helped the crew to contain the passenger. Once on the ground all us passengers had to leave via the front cabin door only. Does anyone know if EasyJet will Pursue that passenger for any financial loss?

Spanish eyes 7th Nov 2021 21:38

Lee Baker Street returning from the COP26 march witnessing a bad case of diarrhoea? Think we have all been there when you just have to go. The passengers defence could have been that he has trying to prevent the aircraft being grounded for a deep clean as poo in a seat requires special measures. Of course all this is speculation.

Buster the Bear 8th Nov 2021 22:42

A go-around probably didn't do their bowel control much good! A side effect of 'Delta' I should add.
