Reading through the description they say 500 guests not diners. The top section will probably be packed as it’s a bar, probably bar stools and small tables. Dining I would think for 200-250 at a guess at lower levels.

Two El Al 737-9s today, assuming for increased Passover capacity, with the loss of EZY flights, surprised they didn't try to push a 3rd one in.

ELAL are very selective at Luton who can access the luggage hold or has access to the great deal of luggage these flights carry. Some would call it racial profiling and discriminatory and is against everything the airport owner claims to stand for.

Seems there is no Dart today after a local power cut at just before 6am. Was the power cut caused by the Dart, as after the power went back on few minutes later the Dart was still knackered and remains so?

The Dart is fed via a transformer in Eaton Green Road.

You are only worried about noise on a hot summers night when you choose to have your windows open.
When the rest of the world is expanding airports at a rate never seen before and airplane orders stretching over the horizon you are happy that it just not in your back yard!

Now tell me that pollution and greenhouse gases are going to drop at Luton with Level 4 Airport Accreditation and all the other BS you have listed or will there actually be a massive increase with planned expansion?

No sign of the new drop off area opening in the Mid Term. I think they are waiting for the super expensive CTA drop off to open. I predict it will be the dearest drop off in the country by a long way.

Just checked the airports Web site and the A321NEO is listed as 84 to 86.9dB whereas 321CEO is 90 to 92.9dB.
Rated as QC 0.25 vs QC 1.0.
These figures are fiction then?
Night Flying restrictions may encourage lower QC aircraft, we know there are reduced charges.
What is also silly, an aircraft like CL600 or C525 which are <81dB and QC 0 is still banned in Summer months!

Reality is different at Luton than official Airbus figures. One explanation is Luton’s shorter runway. I have already produced the noise bar chart showing aircraft types at Luton a few months ago. I am happy to do it again if you wish but the figures are so marginal it is not worth the effort as they are all noisy.

Airbus, these QC ratings I thought were done by the likes of CAA, EASA & FAA?

I can’t help but think this is going to be bad news for passengers, as feeder routes into the town are going to be closed. While passengers would be too sensible to ever venture into Luton’s ghastly ghettos, the locals could well block the A505 as they try to avoid the closures together with festive goers heading for the big bash.

Worth remembering the venue is by the side of the M1 link road to the airport.
