From what I heard
Pax was not in condition to fly Despatcher did what was correct and refused to let them travel. Then rest of group went mad and blocked boarding gates and police called. Then situation defused |
Does a dispatcher despatch a flight or does a despatcher dispatch a flight?
|
Just as well the police took the soft approach
The travelers could have trashed the place and it would end up looking like Aldergrove. |
Well done that person, whoever he/she was.

In the case of ASL on BHD sun routes, they provide their own onboard crew, both flight deck and cabin. Aer Lingus typically provide a +1 in the cabin. The onboard service is Aer Lingus's in-flight catalogue, range and prices.
This differs from ASL 757's on 4 north Atlantic routes, where the aircraft, uniform and service are consistent with the Aer Lingus brand on its own fleet. Flight deck are ASL employed, cabin crew by Aer Lingus ... |
ASL
I flew AGP/BHD last night with ASL. Everything good on board.
Upstairs/downstairs route to passport control a nuisance and BHD toilets a disgrace. |

Least we forget the trauma that the staff went through. When you hear "horror" stories about customers and disruption delays etc always remember staff do not cone to work to intentionally disrupt peoples travel, they come to do a job which can at times be fun filled but in a heart beat can turn tables to be something challenging difficult and stressful. Airports are really more like hospitals periods of intense calm then suddenly its like casualty bodies and people everywhere and as quick as it was manic it transforms to a Zen like state of inner calm. So please guys two sides to every headline.

Interesting Flybe cancelling most of their operation tomorrow morning |
Fewer flights than normal then. Punters should be able to pass through Security in 6 seconds! |
Flybe LPL
looks like it is gone from m end of December |
And no further news on any update on the highly anticipated imminent announcement that was probably going to be made regarding the certainty of impending new carrier
|
Could it be anything to do with Belfast City coming up on the Ryanair app when you select search for flights..
|
Maybe it is, maybe it isn't. Would FR operate from both BHD and BFS. Would that just dilute a small market.
