I believe that an ex-Wow A321 is due to go to TCX but there has been a little local difficulty getting it released due to unpaid bills.

For clarity the unpaid bills aren’t Thomas Cook’s, but relate to Wow’s going bust.

Headlines like this don’t help , Inaccurate and scare mongering , Makes it sound as if the company’s about to fold

I suspect that scenario is actually very low risk.

As in the likelihood of the Long-haul being purchased by a non UK or EU entity, or the risk if it was they would loose their rights? The rights issue is pretty clearly spelled out in the tentative bilateral. For a UK AOC to operated between the UK and US it has to be owned and controlled by either UK, US, or EU persons. The controlling bit is a big sticking point with the US government.

The risk. If noone has done their homework and don't realise that then they're in bigger trouble than you think. Noone would touch it with a bargepole if that was the case.
I suspect that scenario, as I said, is low probability.

Vicious circle time, would you buy a TC holiday now? Probably not. Selling the Airline is the last throw of the dice I think. I do hope i'm completely wrong

Bookings were down heavily for TC Holidays and TCX last week, but have been on the up since Friday, i'd imagine they'll be back to "normal" by the end of the week?

Seems the British public has realised the tabloids are spouting more sh1te as per, look at the comments/replies to the articles and facebook/twitter posts, 99% positive give or take the odd "wOw I wAs DeLaYeD 10 MiNs wiThOuT eVeN gEtTiNg cOmPeNsAtiOn oR wAtEr GoOd riDaNcE"

Strong rumours TC are looking to offload their hangar at MAN to ryanair , Good news if true could raise a fair bit of cash , And once airlines gone no need for it whatsoever . Easily relocate the offices elsewhere off the Airport at a far cheaper location , Heard the operating cost of the hangar is ridiculously high so it’s got to be a big positive going forward

Probably true, , appears that Ryanair have been doing the rounds recently looking for Hangars.
They have visited the ex Monarch Hangars at Luton and from what I gather wanted them for peanuts, no surprise there.
It depends how desperate TCX are to offload.

Brigantee 31st May 2019 15:39

They should have off loaded the engineering side of things years ago its a horrendously expensive burden , I’m sure they are keen to get rid so maybe ryanair will get a good deal , They also looked at the ex monarch BHX , Apparently they are desperate for extra base maintenance capacity so TC could drive a good bargain as it’s a excellent facility in a good location

Fosun looking to bid for the tour operator, but not the airline due to EU regs

Scottie Dog 9th Jun 2019 16:00

Does anybody happen to know the correct seating capacity on A332 OY-VKF?

I understood it to be 322, however I have seen reports showing loads of in excess of 350. Any clarification would be appreciated.
