Its the poor baggage enquiries dest staff I feel sorry for, I have seen police called to protect staff at the desk in the baggage reclaim hall, there was one instance I recall when an angry passenger spat and picked up a computer monitor from the counter a flung it off the desk.

the poor staff on that dest have no information and no control over the delays, they are only there to file reports for missing and damaged baggage, but are sitting ducks.

Sort of a shift across from SEN, as I believe they have dropped the route for next winter.

And the STN-SOF moves in the opposite direction.......

First flight is approximately 85% full with first class sold out apparently, assuming with press and airline officials.

Anyone aware of why STN closed the runway yesterday evening (Sunday 10th June)?

Yeah - that's what we were advised... but it seems unclear as to what caused the need for them to be required?

MAG/STN reporting a very pleasing +9.2% increase in pax for May...

Over 2.5m pax during May...

Rolling 12 months now for 26.5m which makes a +7.5% increase...

a hole was found abeam L1 holding point.

The previous contents of the hole had been liberally spread across the runway.

temporary repair made, runway swept and ops restricted to RWY22 until a full repair could be done later that night

EZY are using Titan 737.400 G POWS at STN, first noted 19-6, & again today 20-6-18. Is this the first time this has happened ?

No, it’s been used before,I was parked along side it a couple of weeks ago when it was on EZY flights.

Tomorrow ( 22 June ), primera has arrivals from YYZ, BOS,and EWR.
the worrying thing is the inbound from BOS is the not so good old National 757, and it’s down to operate tomorrow’s departure to EWR.

Is there a problem with one of the new 321s ? And is this a long term switch.
also anyone in the know as to the inbound and outbound loads ?

I’m aware of the delivery situation, I’m trying to find out what has or is happening to one of the two 321s PAA, PAC, which have both been operating from Stansted, why is the National 757 back at Stansted? Has one of the321s gone to CDG ?

Wycombe 22nd Jun 2018 11:22

FR24 is your friend, and says that PAA operated YYZ-STN last night and PAC was on BOS-CDG.

daz211 22nd Jun 2018 16:50

So does anyone know how long National is staying at Stansted ?

SWISSPORT
Flew out of STN with Ryanair on Monday afternoon.
Although we were ready for an ontime departure.. no push back truck available.. also no Swissport staff to turn on the parking guidence systems for the other Ryanair planes trying to park and blocking the taxiways.
The captain slated Swissport as being woefully short of staff and causing horrific delays.. we waited about 30 mins for a push back truck..

My return Ryanair flight was late departing, however on arrival at Stansted about 11:30 pm, immigration, baggage reclaim all really quick.

Yeah, but did you get a cheap ticket though !! - just accept that if you're flying cheapo airlines, then there's no money to pay for stuff like, errrmmm staff for example.
