EIR BHD
Yes I would guess at EIR starting ex BHDsoon, current embargo on any moves of any kind from EI due EU continued determinations.....MOL master plan .... just keep EI wasting time and money and stymied on any growth for as long as possible...
anyway MAY is first new ATR for RE , some other plans ready for announcing but just not currently allowed |
2 x EIR ATRs in the City today, charter maybe or EI downsizing already?! ;)

ABZ to DUB via BHD
I would love to say a proving flight but nope , not sure why the divert
|
Looking at the weather at dub I'd say they diverted due to crosswinds at DUB and gusts of up to 43knots
|
redED - why would EI be "downsizing already" when they are doing well at BHD? LGW is trying to put operators off using turboprops, they are virtually unheard of at LHR, where else would they be using them for seeing as they currently only operate the two routes?
|
Fair dues only its fairly typical comment, it was WW getting it last yr now EI are being tipped for failure.
|
What relationship with EZY? Are they dating? Not sure there's much of one to ruin, certainly not enough to prevent FR chasing a commmercial opportunity.

I wish BE no ill, I actually like them and have flights booked with them in March. My view is though that on BHD-LGW they are the weakest party, having cut capacity/frequency, the way LGW is charging in favour of larger aircraft, and given their current financial situation. I would like BE to be able to stay in there but business is ruthless and at times competitors see removing one another as the way forwards. You only need to look at some of FR's activities to see that. |
...and given their current financial situation. They currently have a lot of money sat in Exeter but it's the projection that's their problem. They're burning all that money with their current model. |
The saying goes something like:-
To become a millionaire be a billionaire and start an airline. Hopefully FlyBE can solve their issues and continue to serve the UK. |
Is bhd likely to see any new carrier or usit techically full until new stands are built
|
Rip Off
At this time of the year many of us are looking to book summer holidays. naturally at the best price, but how many of us look at the price of airport carparking and include in the overall cost?
just booked the car into BHD long stay park for this weekend........£36!!! Checked the prices at BFS for this weekend, BFS Long Stay £18, McCausland £18 Cosmo £17 maybe the extra is a subsidy for the airlines!!!!!!!!!! |
Gazmo
price of car parking or anything else for that matter does not come into it. It's all about the pleasure of using the world's favourite airport. It's where everyone wants to fly to/from so due to very high demand, they can charge more. Law of supply vs demand. Remember Bfs is virtually deserted now so prices will fall until they are paying pax to park there, maybe give them a free transfer to BHD. TB |

Hmmm, although true in many cases, but not always, certainly not in the case of Michael Bishop, who did well out of his departure from BD. As in many situations in life, it can also be a case of being in the right place at the right time and/or knowing when to get out (i.e. before the excrement hits the fan)! |
It has been mentioned on KLM thread that KLM are coming.! Anybody who can confirm.?

Don't get carried away. Nobody has said that KLM will begin flights to Belfast.
BBC reports that KLM plans to add three more UK airports to the 14 they already serve - and as there are not so many left that are not being served already Belfast obviously is in the drawing. How likely it is that Belfast is one of three will depend on how much an existing LCC link to AMS is seen as a nuisance by KLM - there are some other UK airports which lack such a competing LCC link to AMS (think of places like BOH, NQY, DSA, BLK). |
BOH, NQY, DSA, BLK NQY - Maybe. Long shot. DSA - quite possible! Although LBA and HUY have services close by... BLK - LPL didn't work and with MAN continuing to grow quicker than anyone would expect I wouldn't imagine that BLK would be on the cards! I'd have to say BHD/BFS would be on the cards. BHD would be more appealing but surely BFS in their current position will be offering a pretty sweet deal if there was truth in it! |
Could be quite a coup and a positive achievement if MAG have managed to nab KLM for STN, EMA and BOH, though I believe BHD is to be one of the new routes. |
Bhd is on the klm drop down menu
