and ask them to throw the book at Ryanair for this.

MeNelty 11th Nov 2007 21:51

I'm sure a few Ryanair Folk will be banging on BHD's door tomorrow regarding the STN arrival this evening. Arrived 21:12, on stand by 21:54 due to bmi 319 on stand 5 with tec probs. Only other stand avail was 7a, but was not equip to hold 737.

Perhaps FR will be making more threats regarding stands?

Tower Ranger 11th Nov 2007 22:07

Yes , a bit of an embarrassment but it won`t be the last time. Landed at 21.13 went onto stand at 21.52 but if Aviance had the staff to push the aircraft off stand 8 all could have been solved much more quickly. There`s more than one way to skin a cat!!

Buc Driver 12th Nov 2007 15:51

Now that FR have had a little more time to settle in at the city, does anyone know what the loads have been like compared to the figures someone posted for their first day of operations.

Re: Easyjet summer 2008

Just wondering if Easyjet has released all international flights for summer 2008 from BFS.

EZY Belfast to Rome still on the route map, however try and select dates for summer 2008, states that only on sale until 28/Oct/07. However on the inghams lakes and mountains website, apparently taking booking from BFS to Rome, EZY6763 deps 06.20 arriving Rome 10.20. Are these provisional timing with Inghams hoping the flight will occur, summer 2007 details etc, or will these be released in the future???

Select Depart From (Time) Arriving (Time) Flight No. Supplement
Flight / Transfer Via Belfast (06.20) Rome Ciampino (10.20) EZY6763 +£49 / Nil Direct

Was just looking at flights to Stansted there, got some for 2p rtn. ::ok:
but i noticed that it seems BHDSTN has been reduced to 2x daily on Sundays... is this true?

Belboy 13th Nov 2007 07:42

FR loads are excellent, especially so soon after starting.

FR Loads

Does anyone know how the loads for the other London area airport services have been affected by FR. Has EZY/BD/BE taken a beaten, some of them must have.

mysecretsmile 13th Nov 2007 08:59

Those Ryanair loads are very high considering they have only be operating 2 weeks and seem to have done very little advertising to promote their Belfast base.

Are they new passengers to BHD (namely ones they have pinched from Easy) or are they diluting the other routes being operated by Flybe & BMI ?

Does anyone know if total pax figures are up for BHD since Ryanair started ?

Tower Ranger 13th Nov 2007 09:16

Well I don`t normally do pax figures in any great detail but in very simple terms just going off the mayfly and the carpark pax figures have increased significantly. Whether this just the initial honeymoon effect or not remains to be seen but Ryanair definitely seems to have attracted a different mix of pax to the City. There`s no excuse to not sort out the ATC pay once and for all now!!

Based on your figures, how long can the LCY operation continue. Can it be making money even though the capacity is very low?

richardnei 13th Nov 2007 16:12

The figures for the LCY seem to be generally improving. Just worked out it's an average load factor of 54%. Considering the fares are fairly expensive, they most be doing ok.

Tower Ranger 13th Nov 2007 16:57

Hey Eastern,
unfortunately we control about 24 more days each year than you guys for a lot less money thanks to the unique way in which Belfast City operates!! Although it is a bit different if you`re one of the chiefs as then you get a bit of flexitime to do erm, uhh .... hold on it`ll come to me!
We have however enough ball point pens for the next 25 years so no worries on the sharp instrument front!

NWSRG 13th Nov 2007 18:21

WRC Rally Ireland...any interesting visitors?

Folks,

Can we expect to see anything unusual through BFS / BHD over the next few days with Rally Ireland happening?

Maybe some outsize freighters (BFS only of course!) bringing in the cars and equipment? Bizjets for the main men? And what about the helicopters which every team seems to employ now...

Any of our airport / ATCO colleagues give us any clues?
