Anybody know if that awful Let410 thing is still running the Leeds / IOM route ? Have to do the trip next week and wll probably end up posted on that from the Leeds end :* ........would rather the J31 was still on it though.:)

LBA 29th Mar 2007 13:15

It's been the Metroliner lately, D-CSAL.

nav3 29th Mar 2007 13:18

Oh dear ....even worse.....cricked necks all round then I guess. Why did they let the J31 go, ? It was quick smart and nippy but above all VERY reliable !!

fredtheanorak 29th Mar 2007 13:59

Metros fastest

Ive flown all 3 and metros about 20kts faster than J31 and 500kts faster than L410. ;) Its headroom is much lower but you dont trip over the  spar half way down, seating is 1+1 so you dont get stuck next to some big fat b:mad: and evry seat is a window seat. :8 id go with the metro every time. Operated them in Germany for 2 years and were very reliable:ok:

red17 30th Mar 2007 09:07

The J31's were supplied by Jetstream Executive, from what I understand they are no longer providing flights for Manx2.

The last few posts have been, for want of a better word, drivel! The comments are also suitable for a chat line only. PPRuNe is NOT a chat line.

If you have nothing better to do with your time I suggest you start looking because these kind of posts are going to disappear very rapidly from now on.

THINK before you submit.

Word is that Mr Green (JEX) and Mr Hayes (BPS) didn't get on at all well. Major disagreements over payments for fuel uplift etc. JEX are now looking at launching their own services from BLK or so I hear?

fredtheanorak 31st Mar 2007 22:33

Blk _bhd

Yeah rumor in BLK is still that JEX are the ones looking to start direct BLK-BHD in May:hmm: But they are now in competitiun with Jet2s 2x daily BLK BFS. JEX would be mad to start but stranger things have hapened before:E

nav3 1st Apr 2007 09:53

They may also going to Fraggle in between the direct Belfast flights I have just been told...........don't think 'Fred' will be too happy about that:eek:

You certainly got the Manx Regional people excited - until I pointed out there wasn't a country with the id "KU" :}

Still, good wind up, helps pass the time.:E
