So what aircraft are Air Scotland going to use on all these new proposed routes then?

SM82

Two A320's operated by Greece Airways. First arrived at Glasgow 10 Jun and is supplemented at the moment by additional a/c which are leased in as required (Can't keep up with what they are leasing in!)

Manchester - Athens

Is there any truth behind a rumour that I have heard that Greece Airways/Air cScotland will be starting a Manchester - Athens service?
Many Thanks

Is it correct that the recently announced routes to multiple U.K airports from Girona have had their starting date of July delayed until August due to fleet problems?

Have Air Scotland hit the wall? Their website now seems defunct!

Air Scotland is no longer operating, as the Greek Civil Aviation Authority suspended their Operating Licence and AOC in December 2006.However, re-launch for the 2007 summer season may be planned[1]

Is SX-BLX still parked up at GLA ?

ric180880 12th Jan 2008 01:05

GSM SCOT 12th Jan 2008 11:29

SX-BLX

SX-BLX is still parked up in GLA.

It has had its two engines replaced last month as the original two were sold off by BAA to cover money owed by Air Scotland

GW76 12th Jan 2008 12:13

I think its with Jet 2 now
Jet 2 do not operate any Airbus A320's.

According to this website, the aircraft is to be the first one for Lusitania Airways.

GW76 12th Jan 2008 16:56

Has said that since summer 07, so id be surprised if that was still the case.

ric180880 12th Jan 2008 16:59

Sorry, i was getting confused with 757 SX-BLW that went to Jet2.

Air Scotland

A320-GLA. Rumour has it this acft is going to Turkey for a major check. As far as i can pick-up the engineers working on it wont sign it off for flight so it will need dispensation and probably go 'gear down' as unable to do retraction tests in GLA due to length of time on ground.:\
