EZY in BOH or SOU

Heard that EZY have been sniffing around BOH. Cld they be looking to launch a Spanish route to take on FR?

Anyone know any more?

Agaricus bisporus 22nd Oct 2003 22:32

BOH? Go on, give us a clue...

Amazon man 22nd Oct 2003 22:57

BOH=Bournemouth, what news of Southampton surely not now FlyBe have established themselves

In trim 23rd Oct 2003 02:32

Certainly can't see SOU as an option given runway and terminal constraints?!?

Wycombe 23rd Oct 2003 04:35

But aren't FlyBe rumoured to be looking at the 319 to take over the 146 routes from SOU?

Iberworld 320 has been operating to PMI this Summer.

eurostar builder 23rd Oct 2003 23:11

Could be Bournemouth as they have just been making new oush back stands on the Western Apron.

Flybe started there new routes to Slazburg, prauge today and edinburgh on Sunday from Southampton...

parttimer 24th Oct 2003 00:31

ezy COULD op from SOU but can't see it happening. Havent heard any rumours and they certainly couldn't night stop any a/c as we only have space for 1 more a/c after the addition of the extra 142 as from tonight. Getting a bit chocka....watch out for winter early morning de-icing madness...gonna be delays to match all delays!

MEFLYBE 24th Oct 2003 01:49

It's not really a rumour about Flybe. looking at the 319. It is public knowledge that the 319 and the 73G are being looked at. Sources would suggest the american option.

easy management have been to Bournemouth quite a few times according to my Hurn spotting chum. (Thank for the text on Tuesday eve, 6-3!)

I presume that there might be some sense in opening a low fare base from Bournemouth.

EasyJet already have a mini hub in East Midlands Airport, another member of the Manchester Airport Group that own EMA and BOH, and as a second point besides the small Ryanair operation from the airport with their once a day flights to Girona, Hahn, Prestwick and Dublin, there is plenty of room for a second operator.

Buster the Bear 24th Oct 2003 04:50

AMS and BCN daily could work rather well from Hurn?

eurostar builder 24th Oct 2003 13:22

Amsterdam would be a great route

eurostar builder 24th Oct 2003 21:33

Tomorrow is the last flight for Ryan air from Bournemouth to Hahn, after being very popular by students, walkers and holiday makers there was a market here.

Would be good for some competition...
