Unhappy Bournemouth And Poole Take On Easyjet!

BOURNEMOUTH AND POOLE TAKE ON EASYJET!

Bournemouth and Poole Tourist Offices sent a clear message to budget airline Easyjet's passengers at its Luton Airport base this week . In response to the airlines 'WHY ARE YOU HERE?' campaign on buses all over the Poole and Bournemouth area, the challenge 'WHY GO AWAY? 82f on Bournemouth and Poole beaches today with no flight hassle' is the confident response from the heat of the South coast. Mobile advertising vehicles carried the message around the whole departure area of Luton Airport.

"Of all the weeks to make such a smug claim as 'Why are you here?' it shows the gods are shining on our side of the argument! We consider ourselves the very best of British beach destinations and can understand why they chose to target our area; fabulous summer events, huge investment in quality accommodation and holidaymakers getting fed up of airport trauma are making this a superb year.” said Poole Tourism’s Emma Watson.

"This really does prove that holidays in Bournemouth and Poole are big competition to holidays abroad. On a sunny day on Bournemouth and Poole beaches, you could be mistaken for being in the Mediterranean! On Sunday, we had up to 100,000 people along the seven miles of beach at Bournemouth. Maybe Easyjet should start flights into Bournemouth?' added Bournemouth Tourism's Beverly Ware.

The clear message from Britains best resorts to Easyjet’s customers is “Enjoy your tanfastic hols closer to home this year and avoid a load of hassle”.
