Following the easyJet advert for airports to 'bid for the business' as future potential bases, many airports made contact, including Basle.
Representatives of many airports have been making presentations and proposals to eJ. This does NOT necessarily mean that they have been shortlisted and certainly no decisions have been made.

Well I cant say that I know anything about new bases but I have been told that the East Midlands base will be having its four Boeing 737-300s replaced with six Boeing 737-700s next summer, with;
Paris CDG and Amsterdam (2x daily)
Nice, Madrid, Zurich, Palma and Rome (1x daily)
being considered as the new routes?
Any update?

More easyRumours!
How can easyJet base just 700's at EGNX? Crews are twin rated, 300's and 700's surely these aircraft are shuffled around thier bases already?
More like 320's from Summer in my humble opinion, after Gatwick's 11 x A320 base.!????????
If easyJet can get CDG slots then they could compete with Baby? But why? Plenty of un-served routes from EMA to keep both lo-co's happy and in profit?

Buster,
Some of the bases are still -300 only.....i.e. the ex-Go bases at EMA, BRS, and STN. Moves are underway to shuffle aircraft around to resolve some performance issues with the -300 on some longer sectors once aircraft start being displaced from LGW with the arrival of the A319's (not A320's).
It doesn't make sense to train everyone on the -700 until a firm decision has been made regarding the 2nd UK base for the 319.
In trim.
