New Balkan operator "Air Vardrar"

Roumor goes that new Skopje based airline is due to start operations mid july using leased MD83.It should be a successor of profit boosting-suddenly wanished "Avioimpex".Also it is said that it should also have regional sector using F50 or ATR aircraft...Anyone from the region to confirm this?

I've heard that Air Vardar are one of several setting up in the Balkans in the immediate future. As far as I'm aware, these companies are to operate on a regional basis. Not sure what a/c they are going to use, there was an Air Vardar in the early 90s that had YAK42s. Montenegro Airlines uses Fokkers. Who knows. As is usual with that part of the world, these things are always a bit vague until they get going.
