Cancelled BMIbaby Milan-EGNX

Unfortunatly I was one of those who was effected by the cancelled flight yesterday. Why does it always happen at the weekend?
Reason quoted was technical problem but my guess is the passenger loading was commercially unviable

The options given were to fly to Cardiff and then find your own way or to stay overnight and take the Saturday flight again at your own cost and need to find accomodation for the night.

Was wondering why the Ops section didn't re-route the Cardiff flight to stop off at EGNX and thereby merge the passenger load.

I was lucky to be able to buy a ticket to Luton with Ryanair and get my son to drive me to EMA to collect my car.

I am able to cover the cost through the company but there are others who would be subjected to a cost they could ill afford with no recourse to BMI
Ruined my Friday evening plans though for both me and my son.
