KHALIFA AIRWAYS suspends ops
BREAKING NEWS
just heard that Khalifa Airways temporarily suspended operations due to "political" reasons, somehow financial issues do come into play as well!!!
They recently took 2x B777-200 (ex-British Airways via Boeing) in addition to 2xA340 on lease from Lufthansa!! These will no doubt be returned to the owners ASAP.
Based ALG (Algiers), they also wet leased a A300F from Tristar Egypt which has gone back.

BRISTOLRE,
I think KZW has stopped operation already a couple of weeks ago... ;-)

If I am not totally wrong, the three (!) A340s (MSN 117, 139, 149...?!) are leased from Boeing (ex SIA a/c). DLH hasn`t leased out any A340s at the moment.
BTW: The 777s have been parked at FRA for roughly two months already, the A340s should be in Berlin Schoenefeld.
Cheers,
J.V.

This will be an interesting situation for Oxford since most of their students/customers are comprised of Khalifa cadets.
Khalifa's financial situation seems to have been patently obvious to everyone bar Oxford's staff. (Not that I'm bitter at all).

The two A330's belong to skyservice of Canada C-Frae and C-Frav still the same reg but the Khalifa logo has been removed. One has gone down to Accra to fly for Ghana Airways as they are still completing the cockpit door mods and cannot fly into the states. The other is awaiting deployment which should happen soon or it will return to toronto.
