FreshAer - the UK/Irish 757 lo co
Has anyone got any more information about a low cost airline called FreshAer?
According to their website they are a UK company that has gained licences to commence operating from Dublin to Stansted, Gatwick, Manchester and Birmingham; and from Kerry to Birmingham and Gatwick; and from Cork to Manchester and Birmingham.
They intend operating Boeing 757s (yes 757s) but have delayed taking bookings until May because of the international situation. The commencement date for services is due to be July this year.
They are mentioned in Jethro’s UK air lists with a note that they intend to build up to a fleet of sixteen Irish-registered 757s by 2006. So the company is UK registered but their aircraft are Irish registered. And sixten 757s?! They are either very confident, very optimistic or just plain daft.
I don’t know what that nice Mr O’Leary will make of all this.
