Dalaman, Rhodes, ,Antalya - How?
I am trying to make a short visit to Turkey in the next few weeks, but finding it hard to get flights at a sensible price.
As a pilot I have to fit the trip into days off (three at time) and cannot risk being stranded, so direct flights, no changes are needed. (Ex London, S UK or midlands, up to Manchester if necessary.)
Any info/contacts about who flies to dalaman, Rhodes or Antalya and if they sell tickets apart from the 7 & 14 day standard grockle trips?
Also advice on car hire in Turkey appreciated.
Thanks!

From what I have heard (never been myself), your best bet for car hire would be an armoured car. Nothing to do with the current conflict, but what I was told about the standard of Turkish driving made my hair turn white. (That, and being 93.)

Cyprus Turkish Airlines fly from STN and LHR to AYT and DLM. There website does not currently have an english section however if you phone either LHR or STN and ask to be transfered they can put you through to the one of the reps who may be able to help you out. To call the info desk at STN call 01279 665353. The best time to call will be a sunday around noon as they will definately be in then, otherwise just try and see if they are in the office.

Fowler, o erstwhile converter of Avtur-into-noise, the brave ferry of Genoa is a trifle too slow for my purposes, mighty though she be.
And shame on calling yourself a bloody wing commander, you turncoat!
ps, I'm running out of beer!
