Apparantly 4 of the BY weekly flights from HUY this summer will be operated by B767 equipment due to high demand for seats.
Should be interesting as the usual stands not large to enough handle this size. Only one remote stand big enough. Exciting times at HUY. Only recently started B757F from Iceland twice weekly with fish for processing in Grimsby - talk about ice to Eskimos!!!

Agree with you, will be great to see the 76 in HUY a bit more. Beg to differ about the stands tho.. 2 and 3 both nose in - upto 763 capable, 5/6 also, or combined upto DC10 size.
So shouldnt be a problem! a 762 really isnt much 'larger' in terms of dimensions than a 752

Much prefer a 757 to a 767 on a charter flight.
Far better chance in percentage terms of getting a window seat on the narrow, elegant bird.
Nothing worse than being stuck in the middle of the tube on a 767 - you might as well be riding a lift (elevator).

Tightturnaround I have it on good authority that the 757 is only just within length limits to go on nose in stands at HUY (2 & 3)and therefore 767 will have to go on stand 7 which is on Southern Apron across stands 5 & 6. Gather 767s operarting for only two months of May-June in line with previous posting regarding same subjest at LBA.

O.T.R - Yes it would seem 762's replacing 752's at HUY on the 4 weekly BAL 'W''s from Leeds for 8 weeks. Stands 2/3 ok for 762 (it's only 4 feet longer than a 752) and have accepted the aircraft previously. Problem guess maybe wingspan when there's other traffic, but generally scheduling into HUY is such that there's only max. 1 other IT flight in at the same time as a 'larger' charter, ie 752/762.
Agree with MerchantVenturer, from a pax point of view though - nothing worse than being stuck in the middle of a 762 on a charter.. I am now always at check-in early.
Incidentally if of interest 3 of EZE's ABZ schedules ex HUY change to larger J41 equip. WEF Mon 10th
TT

HUY
When did 767s last op into HUY? I thought it was @98(2/3 adhoc charters to Florida) when the stand layout was completely different(no nose-in stands). Tuesday afternoons should be interesting this May/June..AMM320, BY767, TCX 757 all in together between 1300-1400..good planning?
Also on a side note, KLMUK crew just told me that HUY-AMS changing from 6 x F50 to 2 x F50 & 2 x F70 from 29/3.
This summer looks good at HUY..first time to see regular 767, F70 and TU154s.

MD11FAN,
Re KLM uk , that's a loss of 40 seats each way every day isn't it?
Is this down to HUY not supporting the service, or is it more to do with KLM's general malaise? I believe that KLMCityhopper are reducing their flights from five to four a day at CWL. Not sure if the lost flight there is a F 50 (they have a mix of 50s and 70s on the route) or whether all the others will become F 70s there though.

"From what I've heard CWL will be 762 all summer, as will be the NCL 757 and 763."
Actually I have found the NCL/CWL/LGW swaparound is for May to the end of July only, then it all reverts back to normal.
Start of May:
B763 from LGW goes to NCL
B762 from NCL goes to CWL
B752 from CWL goes to LGW
At the end of July:
B752 from LGW goes back to CWL
B762 from CWL goes back to NCL
B763 from NCL goes back to LGW
