Irish PSO routes
Now that a few weeks have past since the collapse of Euroceltic, has anybody heard who has been awarded the PSO routes throughout the ROI(the ones that Euroceltic operated). There is a strong rumour that Loganair might pick up something new. Personally I thought Aer Arran would have been awarded them, but do they have the equipment/crew? I'm sure there are some fuellers/cleaners who work over there who know !!!!!!!!

Dept of Transport announced last Friday week that they were seeking bids from interested parties for flights to restart in March. Presumably Logan and Arran will bid, as no doubt will a few others (any offers on who?). Given the start-up date, a decision will need to be made very soon on who is to operate.
Clever money would be on Arran to get the routes back but many would have said the same last June before ECY were given the Sligo and Donegal routes.

What's to stop Newair or any other contractor continuing to operate the routes on behalf of the previously mentioned companies?
Aer Arran are said to be strapped for capacity and Logan may well be the same.
Just a thought...
There's still a lot of bad feeling and egg on faces after what's gone on and the dept of transport is in a hole on this one.

That's right. Routes confirmed on Aer Arran website, starting 3 March. Bookings being taken from today. back to where they started from.
Out of interest, anyone know what the latest position is regarding Waterford airport. It had been rumoured that AA were in discussions with the airport to take over the defunct WAT-LTN service left by the demise of Euroceltic.

Good luck to Aer Arran. Wander what Loganair will do with the new pilots they are currently recruiting. Rumour has it they were hoping to base crew in Dublin. Bang goes that theory.
