TBI have bought a controlling interest in Norwich Airport Ltd, (shortly to be renamed London Luton 2).

Don't think it is a done deal yet. I believe that the announcement yesterday was that TBI have been named as "preferred bidder" so presumably it's stil subject to contract.

London Luton 2 ... more like Cardiff 3 if the manner in which TBI "manage" Luton is anything to go by!

It'll be London Norwich before you know it. Or Amsterdam Norwich to go back to the old days.

TBI have pulled out of the deal, no official reason given.
No indication has yet been given as if the airport owners will pursue the sale, but that's another £500,000 in "specialist advisors fees" to add to the council tax payers bill!

News on local TV and teletext. Norwich council fuming, the story says that the two parties agreed a price only for the final bid to come in way below what was seen as a fair price for a 75% share in Norwich.
