Lightbulb

Why do you assume that he has been fired and things will move in a different direction now ?

Maybe he got a good offer from another company and he´s just abandoning the sinking ship ?

efcop said that he had quit, not that he had been fired.

Arjen Pen (32) Executive Vice President, Head of Marketing & Sales, as well as member of the SWISS Management, is leaving SWISS at his own wish. Pen feels that, following the nomination of William L. Meaney to the post of Commercial Director and the announced impending changes in the sales organisation, he no longer has any future at SWISS. The SWISS Management deeply regrets this decision. During the strenuous build-up phase of SWISS, Pen’s performance was exceptional.

The Board of Management under André Dosé is proposing to the Administrative Board various changes in the SWISS Commercial Division. In this way, it is hoped to achieve more rapid implementation of the company strategy. Differences in points of view on these measures have led to Arjen Pen resigning. Arjen Pen was greatly involved at the front line during the successful build-up of SWISS. CEO André Dosé greatly regrets the departure of this innovative member of the Management.

The 32-year old Dutchman joined Crossair as Director of Sales and member of the Management in 1999. After successfully completing his university studies in business economics, Pen gained six years of experience with Lufthansa, where, at the time of his departure to join Crossair, he was Head of Marketing and Operations for Europe West/South in Paris.

You´re right Alloy. Looks indeed like a change in strategy. Well, who knows... We´ll see what happens next. Never a dull moment in this company.

BTW moderators, thank you for moving this thread (just like all the other threads revolving around Swiss) to this deserted corner of PPRuNe.

If it isn't about an accident, all Swiss news ends up getting moved - even if similar topics affecting airlines of other countries remain on top. It has been that way for two years in my experience....

I remember one of the moderators state that pprune was after all mainly a UK thingy so that shouldn't really surprise anybody nor is it worthwhile of making a big issue out of it.

now back to the topic:

who should be next to leave or be replaced?

my money is on human resources and network...

Wink

OK, back to topic.

Does anyone still remember this thread and the little bet between Hold At Saffa and Cisco Kid.....?

Hi Saff, don´t be silly,.. my little predictions are coming true! AD next to go...wanna bet ?.
Dear, dear Cisco. If AD goes, I will run naked the length of Bahnhoffstrasse, shouting in Swiss German "Cisco Kid For President".

Happy Christmas to you and those you love.
