From Bloomberg news:
Gulf Air Plans Low-Fare Carrier Targeting Expatriates, FT Says
Abu Dhabi, Jan. 7 (Bloomberg) -- Gulf Air, the Middle East's
fifth-largest carrier, plans to start a low-fare subsidiary as it
seeks to return to profit, the Financial Times reported, citing
the airline.
The new Abu Dhabi-based unit, aimed at expatriate workers in
the Middle East, will start operating in June with nine Boeing 767-
300s; analysts said the first destinations will probably be on the
Indian subcontinent, according to the newspaper.
"The new airline will operate as part of the Gulf Air family
under a new brand, with competitive costs,'' the FT cited James
Hogan, Gulf Air's president and chief executive officer, as
saying.
Gulf Air, which serves Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates and
Qatar, approved a three-year recovery plan last month when its
owner-states agreed to provide $238 million to buy aircraft and
expand services, the paper said.

Just rip the galleys out and cram the aircraft full of seats and use it to destinations in India, Philipines and Indonesia etc for all the ex-pat workers in the Gulf! Oh and don't bother selling the aircraft afterwards!
