HI THERE,

WHEN YOU SAY MD AIRLINES ARE EXPANDING... ANY CHANCE OF THEM OPENING A BASE AT LGW.
WHEN TRANSJET WENT UNDER, MD TOOK OVER THE MANCHESTER PROGRAMME AND I BELIEVE THEY HAVE DOWN QUITE WELL AND THE TOUR OPERATORS ARE HAPPY WITH THEM.

HOPE THEY COME TO LGW AS I'D LOVE TO GET BACK FLYING ON THE MD83.

HOPE SOMEONE CAN HELP ME.

MANY THX

MD bases for Summer 03 likely to be NCL and Dublin.

Nordic MD83s at Stansted and Birmingham.

Scandic 757 at Newcastle and Manchester and A300s appear to have disappeared.

Excel 738s in GLA and BRS not confirmed - they are apparently punting round trying to find overseas carriers to cover those bases for them next year.

MD Airlines are suffering at the moment after their swedish tour operator that provided much needed winter work went bust.

Look out for new arrivals at Gatwick for S03 !

Hi Guys,

Rupetime:
When you say....Look out for new LGW arrivals for S03... do you know what new airlines will be about.

I know of a new company called FlyJet who will start in mar/apr 03 using 757 for the bucket and spade routes.Have allready spoke to them about recruitment.

There was a time when i heard a very strong rumour that Nordic Airlink where to use LGW again like they did last summer.

Anyone know if this is true and what new airlines will be zipping around Lgw next season.

Many thx

Nope, can't seem to find out any further info on the illustrious MD! Their website says they recruit through agencies but no-one seems to know which agency, so I guess its a case of waiting.....

p.s didnt receive the personal message.. the bugs are at it again me thinks!
