According to my source at Minardi. Paul has now offically sold his aviation interests and even mentions it on the web site.
Although no one I know at Bournemouth has heard anything.
Has the sale gone through ?

Reported on another website was the arrival at Filton of the blue 747 (BDXH??). They reported that it's position on the airfield suggested it may be there for storage.

I have a couple of old friends who went down to them after being made redundant after Sept 11th .... any news on what's happening with the staff?
Good luck to all involved.

The sale of EAC (as and when it happens) is of the business as a going concern. It is perceived by all those working there as being a good thing for the company. A lot of contracts for next year are believed to be currently on hold (awaiting signature) until the sale goes through.

Going concern or not. I have heard it mentioned from a source. That the company made more money percentage on the aircraft sales/parts and sim side than any charter work.
If rumours of the buyer are correct. It's not another charter company but another Paul Stoddart character. Looking to make money not just dreaming of running an airline.
You have to admit those old sims are becoming a bit of a niche market ? I dare not say anymore....

Heard a rumour at least one of the 742s had run out of hours? The pink one was doing SFB today and I think XF will do the same tomorrow...
They still have contract to do something like LGW>LOS charters over christmas so maybe just a quiet period?

True EAAC is up for sale...Has been ever since it started operating nearly eight years ago (at the right price!) As for PGS selling EAAC because he can no longer fund an expensive folly(Minardi) as well as a failing Airline (see the above post),who do you honestly think is bank rolling the slowest team in F1?All we are seeing at the moment are would be purchasers spreading rumour and speculation in order to devalue what is admitedly (at the moment) a vunerable company for their own gain. As for 732's Being moved to Filton I cannot comment authoritatively, however three were parked at MAN over the summer mainly for economic reasons ie cheaper than BOH
PS Cheshire you've worked for EAAC long enough to know that this is not the first time that wages have not been one time Hon!!
