EAAC - Sold !
Basil now works for EAC and his salary/allowance claims have always been paid on time/immediately so no difficulties there.
Perhaps a takeover by someone a little more interested in the aviation part of their portfolio would be no bad thing for all of us.

LGW Vulture maybe life isn't Bizjets after all...
....BOH welcomes... buzz.
Don't forget, buzz are now a separate entity from KLM uk as of today. I have heard rumours of 30 plus new aircraft to come eventually.
Two 733's start at Bournemouth in March....more? Who knows? I suspect there are plans afoot to move eventually from STN so watch this space.

Nowonder it is all chaos at EAAC, your all bitching with each other......
You should all be working as a team because when a certain Icelandic B747 operator get there UK AOC flying will be alot harder to come by

I guess that's why the Stoddart camp started the rumour about an Icelandic buy out. Trying to drum up some interest !
Come on folks. You don't really think these things just come out for no reason do you.
But the fish didn't bite and the buyer got the deal he wanted so I'm told.
Don't forget what I said now. He's buying a business not an airline. What's the difference ?. A business is there to make money, period. Airlines are for dreams and envolve employing lots of costly people...............
Sorry Cheshire....

My contact (a senior man in sunny BMH) told me a few months ago that big changes were on the way at Eac .Couldn't be to specific but they had just lost a good contract to montreal and felt that the wind of change was blowing !
There a really good bunch of guys. all real aviation men.
good luck to them all, hope they survive intact.

Please boys and girls don't talk us hardworking drivers out of a job. We've all been there before (if you haven't, you will be) and it's less than helpful to read all this secondhand guesswork and innuendo. Yes I work for EAC and hope to continue in that vein. Yes I have been paid (technical glitch is all they say and they sound convincing). Aircraft are moving around - when you have as flexible a flying programme as ours you've got to park up where it's cheapest. Things may well be afoot but the last thing we need is outsiders talking us down. If you can't say something nice (to quote my old mum) don't say anything.

EAAC SOLD ???
Someone somewhere must know what the ------
is going on at EAAC.OK so I may not work for them anymore, but I am interested.I enjoyed working at BOH , and the people that worked for them then ,were on the whole a good bunch. So it isnt spreading rumours its, genuine concern. There are some of us that care, eventhough it does us no good.

Rumours ? Inside or Outside ?
Just because I don't sit at the sharp end of a EAC tube. Doesn't make me a (or anyone else) a rumour monger. After all, history show pilots to be the last to know what going on in their company...
In the business circles I move in. I get to sit in on some very interesting meetings. Where decisions are created and made....
Word of wisdom folks. Any one person who owns a private company knows they will only get to see / feel the value of their asset when it is either sold, partly sold or floated. Hence most of these companies (including EAC from birth as someone else mentioned) are always for sale. At the right price / return.
Safe flying all...

A couple of the crew I know got paid today (well, received a cheque in the post) for October's salary. 5 November received and banked, three days to clear - might just about come out of EAAC's bank account by Friday? One wonders why they had to pay everyone by cheque (and late) instead of the usual BACS transfer. It was allegedly due to a problem with their BACS system.....yeah, right.
