Sabena - history (where can I get more information)

What is the latest news about Sabena? Been reading about various airlines but have been unable to find any substantial info on Sabena. Specifically, looking for why it was not able to become profitable over the years. The route structure seems great, good aircraft, good reputation etc.

What were the negatives - the only thing I have come up with (and this is from earlier news releases on BBC, CNN etc. ) that costs were too high.

Any info will be appreciated.
