Good to see a closed aviation facility reopening for aviation purposes if only modest beginnings.

It certainly does. My first ever flight was on an Auster of Anglian Air Charter Ltd in 1962. It was just a pleasure flight consisting of a short circuit over the sea and back to land. The Auster was G-AKOT. A few weeks after my flight the aircraft tragically crashed on just such a pleasure flight killing all four souls on board. I never discovered this until decades later. Fortunately my mother never did learn of the crash or I would never have been allowed to fly again!
The next time I flew in an Auster it performed a rapid ground loop on landing, overstressed itself and was written off. It overstressed me too, so I made a point of avoiding Austers after that.
Great to see North Denes back in business. I hope they will start pleasure flights again. But not using Austers.....
