Enter Air

I see Enter Air are doing quite a lot of the Lapland Charters again.
Must be quite a nightmare coordinating as there has been bag fog at Humberside.
Last nights flight diverted to Edinburgh (SP-ENW)
SP-ESD positioned to Humberside this morning but after circling went to Stavanger
SP-ESG positioned from Bournmouth but after circling 1.5 hours went to EMA and it looks like the flight is operating from there

Odd that it snotted off to Edinburgh, considering that Leeds and East Midlands were both open. Aircraft diagramming perhaps?

The vis. was persistently 200m for around the whole hour or more it was holding.

I felt disappointed for the young passengers who probably didn't get home until the following morning. Not a good end to a day out to see Santa.

What was it with Edinburgh? A Ryanair Oslo-Stansted service diverted there, having made the decision over The Wash.

I feel sorry for the young people having an early start at HUY this morning then having to be bussed to EMA. Obviously the weather can't be helped and pilots prioritise safety but its going to be a long day for them

Often alternates are nominated before departure. Maybe Edinburgh just looked the best bet when forecasting and ability to accept diversions, aircraft handling, next aircraft sector etc. were taken into account.
