Exclamation EIDW Cityjet Baggage Handlers Walkout

Aer Rianta say strike action by Cityjet Handling staff at Dublin Airport is not affecting operations. 19 members of SIPTU employed by Cityjet Handling commenced their 24-hour picket at Dublin Airport at 6am this morning. SIPTU official Dermot O'Loughlin says the official action is over Cityjet Handling management's refusal to engage in talks on pay and conditions. SIPTU says pay at Cityjet Handling lags behind competitor companies by up to 35%.

lags behind competitor companies by up to 40%.!

Cityjet got people in to replace the workers on strike and payed them more than their own staff!...unbelievable.

You get the sack for joining a union if ya work for cityjet. 5 workers had their ramp passes revoked and yes...you guessed it...those 5 members were members of the stike commitee!
